Pastured Meats 101
Matt will be presenting some information on the meanings of various meat labels and their long-term effects on human and environmental health. This event is free and open to the public, to be held at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana. We look forward to seeing you there!

Estimated Pork Processing Date:
We expect to process pigs in mid April, so we are taking orders for bulk pork. We will have some smaller pigs available if you would like to take advantage of the whole pork price (estimated 100-125 pounds hanging). Claim your pig soon!

This month (February), the Shady Deal is 5% off the purchase of a soy-free pasture-raised chicken and a soy-free pasture-raised pork shoulder roast. Both of these cuts can be prepared in the crockpot, oven, or on the stove-top. They also both come from monogastric animals that are raised totally outdoors in the sunshine, meaning their body fat is laden with great nutrients such as vitamin A and D and omega-3 fatty acids. Axl Graff Cadman arrived on 1/25 (17 days late!), happy, healthy, and weighing 7 lbs 9 oz. He and Momma are doing great, and his big brother, Shevi, is adapting to having a fellow ranch hand around. Thanks for all your prayers. We’re excited to have another cuddly little guy on the farm!

We will not be policing to whom you give this gift, but our wish is for these gifts to go to those who have genuine need. Some examples may include a widowed family, a disabled person, someone with a terminal illness, etc. Perhaps you could even prepare a few cooked meals for them using the sampler contents!

Samplers will be available on a limited basis, first-come, first-served. If you are able to find out if your chosen recipient has a preference on type of meat (aka beef, pork, or chicken), please let us know when you order.
